DTF transfer by the metre is a practical solution for brands, print shops, companies, clubs and individuals who want to apply their own designs to textiles using a heat press. One linear metre equals a 57 × 100 cm format, allowing you to arrange multiple designs according to your own layout.
We supply the transfer ready for application to T-shirts, hoodies, workwear, sportswear, bags and other suitable materials. DTF is particularly suitable for full-colour artwork, fine details, gradients, photographs and multi-colour graphics.
Print Width and Artwork Preparation
The total print width is 57 cm. For safe artwork preparation, edge allowance and convenient placement of designs, we recommend preparing artwork within a safe working width of 56 cm.
You can arrange the height of your designs according to your own layout up to one linear metre in length. One metre can contain multiple designs, sizes or different design variations.

Artwork Requirements
PDF is the preferred artwork format. We also accept AI, EPS and CDR files. We recommend converting text to outlines and preparing artwork at its actual print size.
Send artwork without unnecessary backgrounds and do not mirror it. Mirroring for transfer printing is handled during production. For faster checking, you can also attach a JPG or PNG layout preview.
Send your files with the order or enquiry. We will check whether they are suitable for production and recommend adjustments where needed.
How to Order DTF Transfer by the Metre
- Select the required number of linear metres.
- Upload your print-ready artwork and, where useful, a layout preview.
- Check that the artwork fits within the recommended safe width of 56 cm.
- Complete your order.
- DTF transfers are normally dispatched within 24 hours of ordering.
Applying DTF Transfers
Apply DTF transfers to clean, dry textiles using a heat press. The recommended application process may vary depending on the textile and your heat press, so always follow the application instructions supplied with the transfer.
For standard cotton and blended textiles, transfers are typically pressed with medium pressure, the carrier film is then peeled, and the design is briefly repressed. The finished transfer should be well bonded to the textile structure without raised edges.
DTF by the Metre or Individual DTF Transfers?
DTF transfer by the metre is the right choice when you want to arrange multiple designs, different sizes or repeat graphics on one sheet. It is practical for brands, in-house merch production, print shops and regular orders.
For individual standalone designs or smaller quantities, individual DTF transfers may be more suitable.
